Build That Dream - Big Brother Big Sister

Dear Good Friends,

Now on their 10th year of reaching out to the unreachable corners of the Philippines to provide school bags and school supplies to poor kids, BBBS is once again knocking on our hearts to support their worthy cause.

To those who want to donate, you may:

1. Contact BBBS directly for your contribution or desire to volunteer.

2. Course your donation/pledge to our Maia Outreach Program http://maiafoundation.blogspot.com/ so we can deposit it one time for their acknowledgment.

Build That Dream

When Teacher Tina began the schoolday, she asked the class to submit their essays, Brian requested to go to the restroom.  He skipped school that day and wenthome.  He thought of quitting schoolthen.

Brian was a bright kid who wished tobe an architect.  He wants to build bighouses and buildings that he only sees in magazines.  He submits his assignments on time and nevermisses a school day.  Truth be told, hewanted to write that essay last night but didn’t have any writing pads left athome.  He thought of asking a few moresheets from his classmates the next day. With three younger brothers to raise, his parents hardly have enough formilk and food, let alone writing pads.

Throughthe Big Brother Big Sister (BBBS) Community Outreach Program, children in poorfamilies get a chance to go to school without the burden of worrying about a fewsheets of paper.  On May 16 -17 this year, BBBS volunteers will bring to at least eight hundred (800) childrenin General Nakar, Quezon province, school supplies and bags for one schoolyear.

How can you be a big brother or bigsister to one of these children? Here’s how:

  1. Pledge to sponsor  one child for P300 (USD 7.00) - Email to helpbbbs@gmail.com or contact Sharon Sarmiento +639328807177.
  1. Come and meet the kids yourself, sign up as a BBBS volunteer.
  1. Send this message to your friends, relatives or colleagues who might wish to help.

Visit us on Facebook:  BigBrother BigSister (helpbbbs@gmail.com) for more information.

With a propereducation, Brian may well grow up to build those houses.   With alittle help from you, it may well be what he needs to build that dream.
